Grandmothers Keen

Grandmothers

What do grandmothers do? We look out for our families, communities, and cultures. We lead with our hearts, insights, compassion, and wisdom. We have a vision for here … and beyond.

If you have a grandmother's heart, this is where you belong … male, female, young, and elder. We are a movement, a direction.

Current Need For Keening

Gate Rape

When grandmothers see sickness, they look for a remedy. Grandmothers see a sickness now, and we are looking for community to join in a remedy. At this time it is the sickness at our airports … scanning machines and groping have slipped quietly into our tribe. An invasion from within. And our sheep like acceptance has grandmothers concerned.

Airport "security " is symbolic of a deeper need. Keening there is a simple and immediate response … something people can rally around now.

Airport Gatherings

Gate Rape

For now, we start with gathering and keening at our airports. We show up at the airports and keen on the public side of the screenings. We keen on behalf of the silent ones, whether they know their pain or not. We serve to be an inspiration for many.

When we, ourselves, are flying, we arrive early, with a friend who will keen with us before we go through screening. Then, we keen as we go through.

We have a 1st Amendment right to keen at airports. They are public forums of free expression.

Other Needs For Keening

We are reviving an ancient healing art. There are many other places where keening can help bring healing. Talk among yourselves. Let us take responsibility for our children and grandchildren's well-being and emotional health.
